Because of the dynamic nature of the Internet, you will find some links that don't work, and even daily checking cannot guarantee that all links will work all of the time. If you have trouble with a particular stream, please read any error message carefully, and if appropriate, try later. Rebuffering, which is a common problem, simply means that you are having trouble receiving the stream because of a high level of Internet traffic or server load, try again later. Some of the stations may not operate a 24-hour audio feed - some close down at night or operate only for a few hours on certain days, or perhaps only on weekdays. If you are persistently unable to connect with the audio from a station, please let me know so I can investigate and hopefully correct the problem. All stations broadcasting on the internet are using a technique known as streaming audio. To receive them, you must have a computer with a sound card and speakers or headphones, and the free software to process the streams. For most live streams you will need Microsoft's Media player, the Real player from Realaudio ® or the Winampplayer from Nullsoft. Behind each station name is displayed which audio player you need.


Some stations have a variety of feeds available (different players, languages, speeds etc.). It's for you to choose which feed you need. However for some feeds (Cable, ISDN & 56k) you need the proper equipment.

ActiveRadio also supports archived streams . Archived streams are recorded programs you can listen to on any moment you wish.
